PrideMakers is Team Liquid’s first makeathon event where members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies can come together to collaborate on projects that promote diversity, equity, and inclusivity in the esports and gaming industry. We are welcoming participants from North America (excluding Quebec), Europe, Australia, and New Zealand regions! Submit your application now at: tl.gg/pridemakers

For this event, we will be encouraging participants to create projects that fall under any of our two themes: Validation and Self Expression. In addition, we will also be hosting speaker panels, workshops, and fireside chats.

Our virtual event begins at 4:00PM Pacific Time on Friday, June 11th and ends at 4:00PM Pacific Time on Saturday, June 19th. Hacking will begin Friday night at 5:00PM Pacific Time after the opening ceremony, which will be streamed on our Team Liquid Twitch

All projects must be submitted by 6:00PM Pacific Time (9:00PM Eastern Time) on Friday, June 18th. All team members must be registered on Devpost.

We hope that you enjoy this year’s PrideMakers event - we can’t wait to see what you create. Good luck!

Themes:

Validation: How do we make LGBTQIA+ people and other minority groups feel valid? This theme revolves around building projects that give these communities a sense of validation, empowering them and making them feel like they belong in tech and/or esports.

Self Expression: Everyone has their own story, and everyone should be allowed to share their own stories. This theme prompts participants to create an artistic piece that describes what Pride means to them.
